Merry Christmas from 3MDR

Everyone at 3MDR would like to wish all of our listeners a very safe and Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year! Be sure to tune in to 3MDR Christmas day for some special 3MDR Christmas treats.

Normal programming will continue over the Summer holidays however some presenters will be taking a break from doing their show over the holiday season so listen in to your favourite shows to find out if and when presenters are taking a break.

The 2008 3MDR Radiothon is over! Thankyou to all of our sponsors who have provided prizes for the event and the musicians who played at The Big Gig. And of course all of our new members and the people who came to The Big Gig to support local musicians and community radio.

The winners of prizes will be announced this Friday the 5th of December on The Breakfast Lounge with The Maestro and The Magnate from 7am.
 
2008 Radiothon and Big Gig

img_1086.jpgIt’s that time again listeners! The annual 3MDR Radiothon is on. From the 1st of November to the 4th of December become a member and you will receive a FREE CD of the 3MDR Big Gig 2007. It’s our way of saying thanks for supporting community radio.

But wait there’s more! You will be in the running for some amazing prizes. Winners will be announced at 9am on the 5th of December on the Breakfast lounge with the Maestro and the Magnate. Prizes are yet to be announced.

And a Radiothon also means we need some sort of party. That’s why we have the Big Gig happening once again on Saturday the 15th of November at Elevation in Emerald. Come along to see some of the finest local musicians and meet your favourite 3MDR presenters.

Doors open at 12:30pm and we’ll finish sometime late that night. Tickets available at the door for just $20 for adults and $15 for 3MDR members. Children can come along for free and pass outs are available. There will be door prizes, giveaways and of course the music.

Musicians playing include Billy Kavanagh, The Blue Dukes, Spectrum, Louis King, The Blackbird Blues Band, Andrea Marr Band, Tabasco Tom & ex-Mondo Rocker Pete Laffy, Lloyd Spiegel, The Moonhops and Fats Wah Wah.
